Leaving the turbo world....
Well, it was a fun and aggrevating journey and I'm suprised I didn't get an aneurysm. I'm just tired of worrying about my car every second of every day. Worrying about if I'm gonna blow my motor, or if my car is going to get stolen (my previous turbo'd honda was stolen and never recovered). Tired of being scared of taking long distance trips. Tired of never getting my a/f gauge to work. Tired of the loud 3inch exhaust. On that note, tired of not being able to hear my radio over my exhaust. So, I'm ditching the b20 turbo setup for a JDM b16. It won't be as fast, but it will have the reliability/drivability that I need. Maybe, no definitely, in the future I will rejoin the turbo world, but it probably won't be in a honda. I don't know what else to say, but see you guys later...
Not ragging ...but this seems to be to me. a good example of poor planning. Your car didn't have to be unreliable. With good proper tuning, it would be just as reliable as an NA motor. But having said that, an NA B16a isn't gonna solve your headaches either. Without proper tuning, the new engine will be just as susceptable to blowing as your turbo setup.
As for the 3" exhaust...you don't need a 3" exhaust for a turbo setup. You could have easily had a nice quiet turbo setup with moderate power....just poor planning and listening to folks with different goal sets.....
Set a goal, know what you want from your setup, them put it together...don't deviate..

there has been quite a bit of "done with turbo" threads lately.
i have just begun to boost and i love every damn thing about it. my setup is clean, my car is tuned, it sounds nicer than when it was NA...........and its more powerful than i thought it could ever be.
im sure when you drive an NA b16 you might miss your turbo.
good luck in your future.

Sorry to hear you leaving, but I have to agree with MiraiZ a little. BTW, the exhaust on an NA car is louder than a turbo car. This has just been my experience though. Good luck bro!

Let me guess.. its because your gf, right? jk
At least keep the b20. Go NA with it, with moderate sized piping or stock exhaust. Its better than something that doesn't have torque.
A stock b20 can easily achieve.. 120ft-lbs. @ 2500rpm, and you can still have stock exhaust.
If you go with a b16, you'll have around.. 85ft-lbs. @ 2500rpm, and probably only get 105ft-lbs max out of it (occurs near 7000rpm).
