Default Knock Sensor needed for turbo setup or not?

I bought a block that did not come with the Knock Sensor - the selller took it out. So before I go buy one I am wondering if I would really need it since I am going turbo with Hondata after I break the motor in.

Will difference will it make if I use it or not?

Thanks.

Yes you need it. And yes its important.
If you run hondata it is not something you must have but is still recommended.

I think the only way to run the knock sensor with Hondata is if you're using a P72 or P30 ecu. I snapped the plastic on mine a while ago, but since I have a P28 and Hondata, it doesn't matter. When inspection time comes around, I'll have to get another one so I don't throw a code with my stock ecu.
