Default just installed...cannot boost???

Hi, I just finished installing my turbo and I can't boost. I don't get out of vaccum. My gauge goes up to zero then stops. Where could the leak be? It's not the charge pipes, I had them welded. It's not the couplers, I got the T-bolt ones and they're on tight. My bov seems to be working, the vaccum it's tee'd into the manifold. All bolts are tights between the block and the turbo. I routed my vaccum line from the side vaccum on the tial wastegate to the compressor side of my turbo.

As of now, the only thing I can think of is that my wastgate is broken and it's staying open 100% of the time. Any other ideas? Please help!!!!

i doubt the wastegate is broken. You could have lines on your boost controller or wastegate setup wrong. either that or piping issue. TRIPLE check everything. Even if your sure its ok, check again.

also manaully open the throttle while you under the hood and look to see if the compressor is spinning.

remove the line going into the waste-gate and drive the car Don't floor it it will over boost! just push the pedal a little to see if it goes up. Also does it feel faster? If it does make sure the sensor of the boost gauge is not leaking? other than that your turbo is wayyyyyyyyy to big

you probably dont have the fire ring in the wastegate base, between the mani and the gate. that creates an exhaust leak and seriously inhibits flow to the turbine.

i purposely took mine out so that i wouldnt really make boost if i gave it like 3/4 throttle so i could load my motor while breaking it in

I had the same problem with my friends car. The foam we were using as a filter was too restricitive and would not let it boost. Take your air filter off and see iff that does the trick

This was it!!!! I didn't install the ring between the manifold and the wastegate. I did tripple check everything and everything checked out...but I didn't know that this ring was supposed to be installed. I would have never known. But then I was boosting and my charge pipe blew off, but that was another problem....which is now fixed. Thanks, I'm hapily boosting now.
