JRSC and built LsVtec
Where do I go from here? I have a 2033cc JRSCd LsVtec and want to know if I should spray some No2 or stay with the 10psi I have now. If I should drop more money into this car what would you recommend I do? It is a built engine (JG built). Should I go turbo or do you think it can handle a 50 shot (direct port). If you think it is possible which shop in California would you recommend I take it to? Thanks!
I recommend selling the Jackson and picking up a turbo kit.
Shops in California?
hmmm. http://www.importbuilders.com is my pick.

I'm going 84mm pistons in a sleeved GSR block, with my jrsc setup. I'm expecting near 250whp at 6psi with Hondata tuning, and much more at 10psi, with a 50 shot of nitrous.
Don't listen to the clowns who say turbo. They just didn't have the *****, knowledge, or desire to make a jrsc powered car fast. Plus, I'll be able to eat 95% of the cars on the road, and autoX track at low boost. The torque curve on my GSR is flatter than ohio, and the car pulls from 2000rpm to redline with throttle response equal to that of a built inline 6.
I'll keep the FI forum updated as to the build (I'm ordering the sleeves and rods/pistons today
)

Where would you recommend I get a Hondata unit and tunning?

WOW, thats quite the statement you made there bro. People go turbo for these reasons
1) it just makes more power
2) its longevity is is far better
3) as you have rpm you have boost, so your headunit is constantly being taxed not too mention gasmileage is not as good as turbo, because if you are not boosting your chillin
4) easier to upgrade for more power
5) tons of parts available
6)JRSC can handle so much power, and when you put smaller pullies on for more boost you are now exceeding what the blower can handle efficiently. Its on borrowed time.
You should reword your statement about calling people clowns and not having the ***** to go the supercharger route. Its a personal perference, just leave it at that.

a built motor with a JRSC is like...i dont know what its like. you're building a motor to take a lot of punishment and little to gain from it.
to each his or her own. keep us updated.

nice title hypa

I have a LS Vtec bored to 85mm, I have a proto type Intercooler I made, and I make 267 Whp and 198 TQ. I also make 175 TQ at 3000 rpms.
Turbo's are cool , they also make big peak power. But with a propely setup blower it won't feel like it is a boosted 2.0L , it feels more like a 4.0L.
On a 2.0L making more than 7 psi the blower makes so much heat the power is sacrificed, I am building some intercoolers which will help this problem. You would be better running less boost and more NOS. ie: 6 psi and 75 shot , this should put you 330 plus.

Damn, with what you've spent already plus another 3k you could have had quite a car. Oh well. I'd say go with the nitrous...it should make quite an improvment on top of that hot *** air charge.
Go for it man
I too believe there is a ton of untapped potential with JRSC's. It is a personal preference, each have their pros and cons.
250whp @ 6PSI would be quite an accomplishment though!

. Turbo is the only way to go.
I will be graduating in a year and want to play with the car for another year. I want to sell it without any problems.
