JRSC 12 psi intercooled, want 15 psi intercooled !!

JRSC 12 psi intercooled, want 15 psi intercooled !!
i presently have the following :
CRV pulley
Endyn Alternator pulley
JR (stock pulley, 4.2)
this nets me 15-16 psi.(unintercooled)
i also have my air to liquid intercooler between the blower and intake manifold.
this reduces my boost to 12 psi.
I want to swap the charger pulley (4.2) to the smaller pulley (3.8).
i dont want to remove the blower to replace the pulley. ( too much involved with the intercooler)
where can i get a pulley remover, not a gear puller, to remove the blower pulley and replace it.
im running rc310 injectors too, i dont plan on replacing them either.
Wish me luck. 15 psi intercooled.......
looking for 11's
thanks guys.

present fuel setup.
bosch Endyn fuel pump (in tank) HUGH !!!
Cartech 20005
B&M for idle.
rc 310's
thats running 12 psi intercooled.
timing @ approx 12-14 degrees

I agree, what's your fuel pressure? I think your going to have to take your charger off to replace that pulley. Is there enough clearance to get the pulley bolt out?

I know when I used to have my GTP, there was a real cheap pulley puller that people used to buy. Try going on some GP forums, and see if you can find the one I am talking about.

Re: JRSC 12 psi intercooled, want 15 psi intercooled !! (kleefton)
Atgrills - i dont want to spend the $$$ for hondata. i have a VAFC now.
Gitwidit-- my fuel pressure jumps from 30 psi straight to 100 psi, between 0 psi - 12 psi.
Maxpsi -- ill check the Grand Prix forums, thanks.
Kleefton-- i designed the intercooler and had spearco build it.(before LHT had theirs) almost exact same design, but my intercooler is sandwiched between the blower and intake manifold ( alot harder to do). LHT actually inserts the intercooler into the intake manifold which is a much better design, and alot easier for installation ( not to much customization needed). put it this way, if LHT had the intercooler out before i did mine, i would have for surely bought his, NO DOUBT.
John is a cool guy, met him at moroso a couple of times, he seems to be really involved in his work, and takes alot of time and research / developement in his work to make an overall good quality product that functions to the best of its ability.

Re: JRSC 12 psi intercooled, want 15 psi intercooled !! (Intercooled JRSC)
15-16psi seems high for a JRSC to run.
I would spend the money on the Hondata and you would be pretty suprised on what you can do with it. I would put money on it that you would be in the 11s easy with Hondata.

Re: JRSC 12 psi intercooled, want 15 psi intercooled !! (GreenGSR311)
im actually running the blades of the charger at 15 psi right now !!!!
like i said, the charger and pulley setup are netting me 15 psi, but the spearco air to water intercooler core is keeping boost to 12 psi.
i want to swap the charger pulley to attain over 18 psi at the charger which would be around 15 psi after the intercooler.

not to go off-topic or anything but, HYREV2NR if you want results on the LHT intercooler go to LHTperformance.net There is a dyno chart of before and after proving the results.

Re: (99B16Si)
you can remove the blower pulley in the car...you have to unbolt the 4 bolts holding the charger on and the rear support bracket....then you have to push the blower down and back to where the nose of the blower is in the area under the master cylinder/booster area. ..take the nut off the end of the shaft the use a rubber mallet to tap the pulley off. It's not the right way but I've done it on a 99 si

good info did you have to take remove the alternator also?

Re: (GITWIDIT)
mschvs, are you a nut case. J/K
theres no way in hell im gonna remove the charger from the intercooler.
way too much fuggin work.
i installed the charger / intercooler / intake manifold AS A UNIT. (ALL AT ONCE), then bolted it to the cylinder head.(HARD AS FUDGE).
theres no possible way to remove the 4 blower bolts. this is not a typical JR setup.

Re: (Intercooled JRSC)
What is your measured distance from pulley to shock tower? Can you unbolt an engine mount or 2 and jack it up for clearnace?
edit: like your setup BTW

Re: (maxpsi)
excuse the **** outta me. Im not the moderator of the board. they should have stopped me from using the name if it was already taken.
what intercooler do you have intercooledjrsc ?
gidwitit---good idea about the jacking the motor up to gain access for the pulley.

Re: (Intercooled JRSC)
can you post more pics of your set-up? I have been looking into a intercooler very similar to yours. Would like to see more detailed or larger pics. Thanks!!

Since you're probably running a p72 from the looks of things perhaps you should look into uberdata? http://www.pgmfi.org I think you could get a lot better numbers, sell the vafc, buy the stuff you need to chip and dyno tune w/ a wideband...just my opinon.
