Is this a joke ?
For what we already know about how well these things are balanced from the factory (something that is EASY to do and not really that expensive) I doubt that adding ball bearing is really any better...
It doesnt have to be "better" ... it just has to have the ball-bearing appeal to people who know nothing more than a handful of buzzwords. It reminds me of when people used to want a Stage 3 Turbo Kit because its better than Stage 1 but nobody could explain why.
Chinese Manufacturing quality isn't that bad
Chinese Assembly quality is actually quite good
The tolerances that cause things to fail are due to bad manufacturing procedures and outdated/out-of-spec equipment.
There are several companies, including Vizio Televisions, which outsource their assembly to China to save cost. Labour rates are low and quality and production rates are high.
you can get outsourcing to china and have comparable quality as often used products out there. You're just going to be paying alot more to get it produced. It can be done, but most companies are not willing to pay extra for the "higher" tier line of knockoff, if that makes sense. That is probibly why all of these inexpensive knockoffs that are being sold really cheap don't have the tolerances that the higher qc'd units do.

I guess it all comes down to what the product is and how much is spent on it then. I'm constantly dealing with stuff thats made in China everyday just to save my boss money and its all crap. Its causes me that much hastle & grief down to the poor quality its unreal. It amazes me sometimes that he even saves money on it as there's always countless hours spent tidying the stuff up and even then its not brilliant. But then again it comes back to our famous saying "you get what you pay for".
I can tell you one thing for sure and that is i recon both our countries would be a lot better off if we never sent so much of our manufacturing over there.

Yep. The reason they are so inexpensive and cheap/crappy is because they use poor quality materials and quality control is pretty much non existent.
Exactly. Price doesn't always assure quality, but its a good start. If you can get a "GT35R" for $600 from China or $1300 from Garrett, you should know its too good to be true.
We wouldn't need to send most of our manufacturing abroad if manufacturing in the United States wasn't outrageously expensive. Look at the Auto Workers Union...they took over automotive manufacturing in the US and drove labor rates through the roof. An un-educated worker on the assembly line with a high school degree can make $22+ /hr which is WAY above far market price...but thats the way it works here. Its cheaper, easier and often more productive to outsource.
