JB Weld works wonders.

my friend has had his oil return bung JB welded for i believe 2.5+yrs w/out any problems. and i've had mine JB welded for about 3 months or so and its perfectly fine.

i say if you cant get it welded for whatever reason, dont hesitate to use it, it works great.

trust me, if you cheap or skimp out on your oil return it is always going to cost you more later. I am getting ready to put together my 3 setup

Its not really *what* you use, its how you *prep*. A buddy used JB weld w/o much cleaning/preping, and leaked like crazy. Spent some time on it later, and works good now.

I also helped another bud with tapping it first, and then I think he used JB weld. Never heard that it leaked.

Bad returns can destroy turbo (seals). Most of the time, you get 2x reliability/performance for your money's worth when investing in your return.

bad return line setups kill turbos (ie. kinked line, dipping line, etc.), not jb weld.

as long as you don't point the bung down i don't see how jb welding your bung can "kill" your turbo unless its leaking oil like no tommorow and you dont seem to notice it. if you expletive up your first time and its leaking, i don't think another pack of jb weld and some elbow grease would cost much.

clean up the area that you'd be applying the jb weld onto, and don't be conservative when applying, PUT ALOT OF IT ON! you'll be fine

If those are the only two options, I'd say the best bet is to use both in conjunction with each other.

JB weld may be to fragile for it. Id suggest welding, but if thats not an option, then washer/hondabond? it.

JB Weld will work fine if you take your time and make sure it is done right as mentioned above. I have used it a lot of times, but I have a bulk head fitting w/ a nut and with teflon washers inside and out with SS braided an line that would be the best and you wouldn't have to worry about leaks!

you really think jb weld will hold up to the temps of an exhaust???

i don't think so...

oil return line is a different story because it doesn't get nearly as hot.

i love jb weld as much as the next guy, but for an o2 bung, get it welded!!!

If the area is prepped right, JB weld will be fine. Welding obviously would be the best route, but I've seen JB weld patch a hole in the block and other crazy stuff, so it's definantly up to the job.

I used JB Weld on my oil return. I made sure I cleaned the location really good and I gooped that **** on there and let it properly dry. 2 1/2 years later, it is still holding. Not a sign of leakage.
