Default AN Fittings

Hey guys.
Ok so I was reading online and I found out on a Chevellestuff.com that AN fittings are designed not to use any sealant because of their cone locking shape. By using a sealant, you can create leaks. Instead, they recommend using a lubricating oil. Has anyone heard about this before? If it's true, maybe that's why I leak a little oil from my oil pan fitting for my oil return line.

Yes, AN fittings seal on the mating surface, no sealant should be used..

a very small dab of grease is cool, especially where they are next to a huge heat source.
