Default jackson fmu problems

alright, i can't turn my static fuel pressure down below 51 and when the vacuum hose is on, it idles at 49 which seems to high to me - and i can tell my car is running rich. boggy down low and it pops pretty good when i let off the gas. i'm wondering if i shouldn't even drive it right now. the deal with the fmu is that i can turn it up, but when i go down it seems to run out of resistance on the hex head bolt. is this thing shot?

Do you have a walbro 255 intank fuel pump? My friend does and he has the same problem. He ended up drill a hole in the fpr to relief some of the pressure, as recommended on "the old one"s web site. There they recommend drilling a .030 size hole, my friend ended up drilling a much bigger hole to get his pressure where he wanted.I believe the website is: http://www.theoldone.com. Good luck.
