Default FMU sticking question

If the fmu (vortech) plunger were to stick, would it stick up, or down?

If it sticks down, would that mean that its raising the pressure as much as it can (similar to 12:1 disk?)

Cause when I take the top off my fmu to access the disk, my plunger is down all the way. I want to eliminate this concern from my head without taking the thing apart ya know.

Not sure if it helps, but normally when it sticks it makes you run REAL rich so I'm assuming your correct in that you are running insane fuel pressure when its stuck.... which is

Well I guess its not stuck then cause the car starts and idles just fine, hence indicating a not too too rich condition.
