Default fmu is it really worth it?

ok, i was having trouble before w/ my fuel pressure being to high, fixed
that problem, then i put my (vortec) fmu on last night, and my idle fuel pressure went back up to 60 psi, should i dump it? and just keep the 255fp going.
give me some ideas?
thanks

An fmu would not make your idle fuel pressure increase. It only increases as boost increases. What kind of fuel pump are you running? It might be your fuel pump if you have an aftermarket intank or maybe its your fpr.

Listen to boostedsi's advice. A FMU only raises fuel pressure under boost.

255 walbrow, high pressure, when i take the fmu off the pressure drops,
so the probem is the fmu. i guess what i'm asking is... can i run it with just the fuel pump and regulator

This doesn't make sence, but I know for sure that if your fpr does not have vaccum coming directly from the intake manifold the fuel pressure could jump about 10 psi.

if you hooked the fuel lines on the fmu up backwards, than idle fuel pressure could definately be affected...

as usual you probally have it hooked up wrong
it all depends on who installed, sounds to me like you did it yourself
and fucked it up. like always

Does anybody get the feeling that he's stealing the vacuum hose from the stock fpr to use on the fmu and left the fpr disconnected from vacuum?

ok let me start all over.
I had problems w/ my h22 turbo set up the first time, so i took it off because i got fed up with it . Now when i had the stock motor set up agian, i was getting about
10 miles to the gallon. so i went and got a fuel gauge and saw i was at 60 psi
sooooo.... i got a regulator and tried to lean it out no luck, psi would not even go up if you had open vacum. read a atartical about dropping your fuel presure from
drilling a hole in your regulator (b&m set up). worked wonders! 40 psi great!
now last night i got the turbo back on and the **** kicked ***. i noticed that my
fuel was up again to 60 psi. took off fmu and pressure went down. and i dont know what the **** is going on.......so im asknig for help, i know how the vacum hooks up and ect... but is it the fuel pump giving me the problems? or is the fmu jacked?
what are your turbo set ups and what are your fuel pressures?
