Internal VS. External wastegates.
I didn't really know what to search for.
I'm looking for the pros and cons of an Internal and an External wastegate.
Reasoning? I'm currently running an Internal and want to hit 20psi, i'm a cheap *** and don't want to buy an external if i won't have problems running an internal.

you are gonna have boost creep problems... what turbo, setup and what size downpipe are you running?

what size downpipe?
and in all hoensty... 20psi is way outside of the t3 super 60's map... at that point you are just blowing hot air and risking catastrophic damage to the turbo, not to mention it sounds like you are running a stock motor with nothing but a headgasket..... 20psi will absolutely destroy your motor

Super 60s are efficient up to 30psi, my motor has Eagle H-Beam rods and Suzuki Vitara pistons (~8.5 compression), downpipe is 2 1/2", but basically, open turbo as it's just there for the O2 and to blow the exhaust downward.

boost creep will be a major issuue, and trust me. 20psi is not that efficient. what do you mean by efficient?
Check out turbo calculator for specs, i checked again, the turbo is pretty well maxed around 25psi, i was thinking it was 30, but still flows pretty well at 20.
Maybe i'll regulate my boost to 16psi and expect it to spike 20 until i can get an external?

yea, 20psi will probably shorten the life of the turbo but oh well.
yea, up the boost and figure out how much its gonna creep. then set the boost controller so it creeps to 20 and stops (hopefully, lol)

Damn Honda kids in their caring about looks.
The arm of my wastegate actuator adjusts, i would think of i put a bunch of tension on it by making the arm shorter, it'd make the spring kind of pre-compressed which would cause the gate to open with more pressure. Or am i way off?

trust me 20 psi on this turbo isnt a good idea on a nearly stock engine...it is going to be blowing some super hot air and is going to be tough to get that running well without detonation... here is a rough idea of the efficiency of the super 60 on a d16 its a little off but it gives you an idea
Internal Vs. External? Do external, you will gain good power, guaranteed. Also the internal wastegate wouldn't be up to the duties as is.
I think that you might surge around 4000-4500 seeing as you would prolly hit full boost around there and you would be running like a 2.4 PR and only flowing like 15-17 pounds of air

i hate my internal. when i put in forged **** at the end of summer, im going biger turbo and external. my interna is supposed to be at 10, ut occasionally in third, itll make its way to 12, and i dont like it

i was running 26-30 on my turbo t with no issues.</TD></TR></TABLE>
It is ok, but you will gain good power with an external gate. I would never run internal just because of sound and power (unless I had no $ or choice)
