Default Internal gate question (boost response related)

Ok I have a greddy kit with a mitsu 15g and I am having some boost response problem. I also recently installed a profec b boost controller. The problem is no matter what I do the boost response is messed up. It will get 5psi at about 3,500 rpm and then it will stay there till about 4,500-5,000 and then work it's way to the 10psi I want by like 6k. That is absolutely rediculous for a 15g. I should definetly have 10psi by 4k. So my wonder is this likely because of the internal gate? I know when it was installed and we had some problems due to the map sensor (realized we lost the missing link) one of the kids tried to turn the boost all the way down by adjusting some screw on the actuator. Anyway I can figure out what screw it is and where it should be set to stock? No matter how much I turn up the start boost (set gain) setting on my profec B the response doesn't change at all. Any info would be excellent.

loose the profec b and try a mbc, if it works it is the the profec b. the last 2 i installed i had to remove for issues like yours.

I never had a single issue with the Profec B at anything under 25lbs. You have to adjust your acutator arm. The reason you are getting such bad boost response is because the actuator arm was adjusted to a poor mechanical leverage point. No matter what boost controller you put on, you are going to have the same problem unless you fix the actuator arm.

There's no real answer. YOu need to start increasing the tension on the actuator arm. Preloading it is essentially the same thing as increasing the wg spring with an external wg. The only real difference with an internal wg assembly is that you need to find the minimum tension required to give good boost response. You are going to have to adjust it until it starts holding better.

So basically the bosition of it arm doesn't change just the tension by tightenting the bolt?

Position of the arm only changes when the actuator recieves positive pressure in the diaphram. You increase boost pressure by increasing the tension on the actuator arm.

Ok so I am looking at the actuator arm right now and the only thing I can see to adjust it is a snut at the end of the arm that connects to the hot side of the turbo with a pin. What exactly am i looking for the tighten here? That nut?

If memory serves me correctly, on the GReddy 15G, you want to loosen the nut, and rotate the actual swingarm, you will have to remove the arm from the flapper to do this. You'll understand when you see it.
