Default turbosmart ultra-gate

has anyone else had this problem?
my boy had this gate on his car and after a few months of using it he started having overboosting problem the gate has a 10 psi sping in it, bit it keeps max boosting.
so I took it and install it on my car and it has the same problem. my boost cut is set to 25 psi and low boost at 13psi, and high boost at 21psi as soon as I boost I hit boost cut.
what could this be. note that it did the same thing in 2 different cars. at different boost settings and controllers. max boost always.

help please. do I need a new wastegate or is it fixable?

I am using a txs dual stage bc. the boost controller is hooked up on the bottom port, to the compressor housing the same way the tial wastgate was hooked up with no problem. even turbosmart webside show it that way.

my boy ran this wastegate just like I did without hooking up the top port then a few months later he start having problem.

is this a turbosmart problem or could it be the diaphram been busted up?
I will try running the top port

It's the wastegate. I hooked it up from the turbo straight to the wastegate and still had the same problem. Now I have a different wastegate since I gave him the turbosmart and boost holds perfectly fine hooked up the same way. Somehow the diaphram or something is leaking inside. Open it up and reseat everything. Check if everything is ok.

well I hook up both top and bottom port according to instructions on turbo smart website, and the problem still persist.
so I guess I need a new gate, I wish tial made compact gates because I never seen any problem with tial.
I wrote turbosmart last week and they still havent reply yet, so I guess they dont care about it once its sold.

for some reason, i could not hook up turbosmart like tial.. i had to T the line and hook it up to top port and switch some settings on EBC.. but once i got the right combination, it works perfect.. check diaphragm for tears.. i had great and consistant results with turbosmart, i prefer it over tial but thats just me.

I took the wastegate apart and inspect the diaphram, its not torn, but the bolt holes looked worn. everything moves freely, so its not mechanical parts sticking that cause it not to open.
so I orderd a new diaphram. that **** was expensive. plus shipping and handling from jegs. so I hope it fix the problem.
