Default intercooler corrosion

any of you who drive their cars in the winter where they use salt on the streets, do you have problems with your intercooler corroding at all?

aluminum can corrode, but not rust. If it gets salwater on it, it will corrode. Just keep it rinsed clean with fresh water after driving.

Salt water doesn't just cause oxidation on Al. It actually s create's a caustic enviroment that eats it. Al doesn't last long in salt.

well i know salt isn't good for aluminum, but does anyone have experience with a fmic in a salty-street-winter climate?
i guess to be safe i should put some cardboard or plexi in front of it in winter to keep the salt off. obviously it wont be as efficient, but it's not that important in winter anyway.
