Intake / "S" Pipe? Where to get it or is it just easier to make?
Just as the tittle says, What should I use for the pipe that goes from air filter to turbo. Should I just have the exhuast shop weld a few 90's together?

Probably be easier to make it yourself. Most people want like $100 for it with the filter. WAY too much IMO. DIY is the way to go, you can also insure that it is just how you want it!

Yea, I need to find that website that shows you how to make the mount for the Apexi Universal out of drain pipe attachments....
Thats what ill be using for the filter.
Where do you guys suggest piping from? JC Whitney?

Do you have a cold air intake? You could make it out of that.

I will end up doing something like that. except I think my filter is a bit longer...its not a mushroom like its as big as a regular K&N.
What parts do you guys think I should get to make the S pipe?
Here is a bad picture of my engine bay, but you get the idea...it should end up similar looking to his except more horizontal rather than bent down. I was thinking maybe a U or a 90 piece and then form an S out of those two.

I guess you want something similar to that? That's the GReddy piping...but it seems like you could make something similar to that on your own. I think using "U" bends would work by looking at that picture.

I just found two pipes and put them together!!! It took me a little bit of finesse to get it right-- but it beats the hell out of the dryer hose I used to have!

Again what about your intake? If you used the bend near where the filter is in your pic as the part coming off the turbo, then use the bend that goes to your throttle body as the top part of the "S" pipe, it could work?
give it a shot, the intake isn't doing you much good now!!
Mine worked like a champ, looks exactly like the pipe in the first pic.

I plan on ebay'ing the intake, its in great condition, so i figure I could sell it for atleast the amount of money that it would cost for the U bend and the clamps and all to make the intake pipe...
