a pipe is a pipe. Not all filters are created equal. Get the pipe from egay, but get a K/N filter because the ones that come with the kit are just poop.

Not necessarily. It's like saying a building is a building without understanding "inherent resonance" and why one building can survive a 9.1 earthquake and not a 2.4 and why another building of similar dimensions and build material can survive both.
No matter...it's hard for most people to notice the difference in hp without instrumented testing, so I don't blame people for saying "a pipe is a pipe". It's probably easier to feel the lighter wallet in your pocket!

Do you have dyno's to back up your false claims??
Sound does not equal power.

haha word.
short ram= you suck in shitty hot engine bay air.
real intake= you suck in cool air.
cool air+better harmonics=more power

IMO, an expensive intake is not worth it. I would just get an ebay one.

the thing that sucks about the v2, they don't make the bypass valve for it. cause the tubing is so fat. but other than that, the v2 is great.

and how much colder is the air going in your in CAI. Believe what you want to believe but remember your air might be cold when it goes in the air filter but when it actually reaches the intake manifold is it really any colder?
I would say get the whale ***** from passwordjdm but since you are on a budget get a ebay short ram air intake and slap a k&n filter on it. For the little performace you get with an air intake don't waster your money.

why do you think its called a COLD AIR INTAKE? the air is flowing too fast to be heated by the engine bay, you have to have a basic understanding of how your engine works before you try and give me wrong information. maybe if the air was standing still it would get heated by the engine bay, but since your engine is an air pump, its pulling the air though at tremendous speed (ie: when your redlining at 7500 rpm, do you know how fast that air is going? its definately not standing still).
if you would like to prove me wrong, go to a dyno, slap on your shitty short ram for a mere 5hp gain, and go and install an AEM CAI and notice the difference your hot 170*+ engine bay air and the 80* or whatever outside air makes.
think of it yet another way, if your hot and tired, would you rather drink ice cold water or 100* water?

Yes, but it the same concept, cai or short ram. They are both tubes with filters.
