Yes, you can hook it up to some other source of Vaccum.. I left the stock map sensor in place so that it won't leak and tee'd off a vaccum source from the manifold.
Go to the Junkyard for a Pigtail... They are all over the place and you only have to pay like 5 bucks for them.
P.S. Try Searching if you completely understand the install, There is Lots of info on the 3bar map sensor including install info.

you pretty much have to put it on the firewall.....it is totally diferent desigin from stock. look at the picture above and you will see.

Anyone know if it is ok to T off of the map sensor line for a boost guage if they are right next to each other, minimal hose lengths?

i made sure that the map sensor was on its own connection, no tee no nothing.
you don't want the map sensor to mis read any of the info...
