MAP sensor? relocate it with standalone (HALTECH)?

I have heard to relocate the MAP sensor is a must when getting a standalone. The reason is that the MAP sensor in the stock location canīt see boost. Is this correct? Where should I install it? Should I get a new one and remove the stock? I plan to hock up a HALTECH standalone.

Are you having someone else install this, or are you going to try the install yourself. No offense, but it sounds like your lacking some basic knowledge in standalones.
Most engine management systems use GM MAP sensors because they're easily available and easy to install. The stock MAP sensor can see boost just fine up to ~11psi before breaking. It gives different readings than the GM 2 bar MAP sensor, so just use the GM one and get rid of the stock one.
You're going to have to decide which MAP sensor you want. 2 bar MAP sensor reads up to ~15psi and 3 bar MAP sensor reads up to about 30psi. You don't want to get too much higher than you're actually going to boost since it limits the resolution.
