Default Installation of inline pump

I'll be getting my msd 162lph inline pump tomorrow via UPS. I already have a inline (broke) clamped onto the fire wall with a yellow and black crimped wire ready to go. So all I have to do is unbolt the old one, rebolt the new one, I think I can figure out the wiring, my question is.

For the fuel line... do I just cut the line that goes to the fuel filter and put it on the bottom of the inline, then whats left of the line I just cut put from the top of the pump back to the fuel filter? Is it that easy? Also if anyone can include picks of their inline setups that would be AWESOME. Thanks

should go like this...

fuel filter--------MSD PUMP--------fuel rail / injectors
inlet outlet

basically the pump is installed between the filter and the rail by cutting the fuel line and plugging it in between... make sure to observe in and out pump connections and check polarity of wiring....

I have the same question and would like a link to some pics or a better diagram of the installation also. So this needs to be mounted before the Vortech FMU correct?
Where is the best the place to mount the pump? What did you wire it to?

Please help anything at all!!!

Thanx

Ok I installed the pump, it was easy as ****, took longer to find a god damn shop around here that actually had fuel injection (high pressure) hose then to install the pump.

Pump is mounted right below the filter, with the arrow of fuel flow pointing straight up to the hood. The bottom blug went to the fuel filter, and the top plug on the pump (the direction the fuel is being pushed) went to the fuel rail.

The car is happy to FINALLY not be running to damn lean on the stock pump only... Only thing is now I need a FPR cause my idle pressure is around 58 or so . I was recommended the AEM fpr... and plan on getting 310cc injectors... does this sound right? (I have no standalone or afc yet (plan to get an afc down the line).

Last night I did the same thing and installed my inline fuel pump. The problme is that I couldn't find the where to wire the positive wire. Where did you splice yours?
