my buddy just installed his inline fuel pump and he installed it in the back by the first pump... if I'm not mistaken isn't it supposed to be in between the fuel filter and fuel rail? would'nt the inline pump be useless where he put it? I know 99.9% of inline pump installs are under the hood I just want to know if his spot is acceptable or if it us useless in the back, which is what I figured.

 

we do it there for accessability. when we ran series pumps on the buicks, it was after the tank pump and before the filter.

 

so it is still effectively working closer to the first pump rather than right before the injectors?
