Default Got questions installing an inline fuel pump

I am trying to figure out how to install my MSD inline fuel pump on my civic. It is covered nicely in the Knowledge Base but one thing that is not answered is if I have to remove my stock intank fuel pump. Since the article says to "T" off of the relay wire, I am assuming that you want both pumps working at the same time. But wouldnt this affect the performance of the inline pump if it has to pull fuel through the intank fuel pump as well as the fuel line? Any opinions are welcomed.

-Thanks,
DS

You leave the stock one in place and run the inline pump between the fuel filter and rail.
