A great idle and the possibility of gaining a few WHP.. It really depends on the tuning.. With the atomization being better the combustion process would be more efficient thus resulting in a more efficient running engine...

Outstanding... Now to understand the fuel pressure side of things. These injectors can be ran at higher fuel pressure levels at static idle and full throttle, correct? What is the max HP these injectors can be safely pushed to? Thanks for the info guys!!

These injectors can be run all the way up to 100psi as long as battery voltage doesn't drop below 10v and the pump or pumps are capable of keeping up. With a high pressure pump setup, 700-750whp could definitely be a reality. At 100psi these flow 15xxcc and the atomization is even better than at 45psi. Just need a pump capable of 130-140psi to do it. I think an intank walbro 255 and an inline Bosch 044 would do the trick. We're going to do it on a Supra here pretty soon.

the walbro is going to choke the 044. why not get an 040 and feed the 044 that way ?

Haha, exactly. I was blown away. I tuned an H22 the other day with these. Started with a file and the car fired right up and idled and the wideband was stuck at 17.0 (NGK AFX, stops at 17:0). Added 10%, sounded a little better, still idled smooth, still 17.0. Added another 10%, same deal but started bouncing the a/f meter into the high 16's. Added more until it was in the low 15's and idled like a stock car. What blew me away is how good it idled and didn't misfire at much leaner than 17:1! Try that on another 1000cc injector!!!

That is just amazing to be able to achieve this with just a swap of injectors. I will contacting you for a set of these Tony. Thank You!!

Yes, they will.

Also, I should note. In the post above about running high fuel pressure, i'm talking about base fuel pressure. You can run up to 90-100psi base pressure as long as the fuel system is capable of the base pressure plus the amount of boost you want to run. Another good option there is Weldon has a pump that will supply up to 1000hp and 160psi fuel pressure.

Very interesting ... so maybe a dumb question since some hondas came with a resistor box setup from the factory, you could remove it and after all done with the minor rewiring, retune and your good right? Just curious for reference.

Run the 2 bosch 044 pumps in series with these injectors and you'll have a killer high pressure setup. You will easily be able to run 90+psi base fuel pressure with the pumps that way. In parallel you're limited to the pressure capability of one pump, which I can't find any numbers, but suspect that 120+psi may be too much that way. When you run them in series you can get the pressure way up there.

Just make sure the electrical system is up to par, they won't open above 75psi at less than 10v, so you have to make sure voltage doesn't drop below 10v during cranking. Shouldn't be a problem with a good battery and wiring.

Yeah, making that at idle is easy. The problem is when you're asking the pumps to do that and adding 30+psi of fuel pressure from your 1:1 regulator. I don't know that those pumps in parallel will do 115+psi safely. I do know that they will in series though.

The outlet of one pump feeds the inlet of the 2nd pump. Just 2 pumps in a row.

a good spray pattern means alot

alot of VW guys won't run but certain injectors due to this

for instance when people first started putting bigger turbos on 1.8 20 V VW motors they would run 42 lb "green top" injectors and WOT everything was fine but the idle and PT was utter sht

Tony, what do you think would be the safest maximum pressure to run an intank 255hp to an inline 255hp in series with a -8 feed after the inline? I am interested in these Injectors, I was going to ditch my RC1000's for their 1200's to try to squeeze a little more out of my car on E85, I am hoping if I can get the base up in the 75psi range running under 25lb of boost hopefully I could squeeze 1200cc out of these Bosch units, and the deletion of my rusty resistor box is a bonus.

Here's the data sheet for these injectors. You can see that with 80-90psi base pressure you can get significantly more power out of these than you can at 43.5psi. I'd take these with a high pressure system over 1600's any day of the week! Obviously at some point you'll either need 8 of these or 4 1600s, but i think 750whp is a reality with these at high pressures. I think the weldon D2015 is the pump to do it with too. We have this setup in the works for a Supra we're doing with a BW S374R, we'll see how far we can go with it. It's still on a stock motor so hopefully it doesn't let go first. lol
