Default injector size help!

hey ppl im in the market of looking for injectors. My setup is as follows t70 turbo srp low comp pistons eagle rods, MSD SCI, victor x Mani, head studs ,cometic head gasket, and crome all this is on a b16 in my si and im needing to know what size injectors i should use ive herd some guyz using 1000 cc injectors and some running 750cc my goal is to get as close as possible to 400whp and people are telling me that should be no problem. So i really need your opinion on what size to i would rather have too much rather than not enough. Thanks for all your help guys.i would like to get info from some peoples setups that are in the 400whp range as well and the 400 whp on pump also the car will be driven about a hour almost every other day if that has to factor in

The 750's will be a good suit for your needs.

t70 huh... i smell ebay chinese turbo. beyond that though kind of a laggy choice for 400whp.

x2 on the 750's though... should be good from what you see from other setups on here around that power level.

Those ebay "t70" turbos are more like a 50 trim comp wheel with an s cover and a huge turbine housing unless you find the rare ones that are essentially sc61 compressor specs again with the large turbine housing but 750's should be plenty of injector.

I agree with TWKDCD595 much better turbos for the application

if you are considering getting 1000's, get the new bosch saturated units instead of peak n hold with a resistor box imo.

Are you planning to make 469 as well? If you are aiming for this goal, and your engine is built to handle it, that's fine. However, if you are only planning for 350 or 400hp, you might want to consider a smaller turbo. On a 1.6 to 1.8Liter engine, aiming for 400Hp is easily achieved with the basic T3 57Trim Garrett. This is a turbo you can get brand new in the $500 range.

My point is this, you should buy the smallest turbo that will achieve your goal. If you hang a 1000hp capable turbo on a motor that you are only going to boost to 8psi, it's going to be so mismatched that the performance will be horrible. The same engine, with a properly matched turbo, will be a blast to drive, even at 8psi.

Hope that helps, and doesn't confuse.

Craig
