Default Help with injector size

Hello. I am wondering if I can safely run saturated RC 550 cc injectors in my turbocharged b16. I will be having it tuned with Neptune and I am hoping to hit 300 whp. It seems that a lot of people are using 750's but I am wondering if that is for later mods or if they are actually needed.

Thanks

What are the RC 550's good up to.

i know DSM 450's can handle around 300whp range, you can probably get 350-379whp out of 550's. ppl just go bigger so they dont have to upgrade in the feature.

RC 550 will be fine for your set up. Its just nice to buy injectors once thats why people go over kill on the size. Its nice not to use 100% of the duty cycle.

any one running the 550's in the 300 whp range that care to share what their duty cycle was at.

Thanks

i found this on Evans-tuning. Does this seem accurate.

310cc 200~220whp
370cc 220~280whp
440cc 280~330whp
550cc 330whp~380whp
660cc 380whp~425whp
720cc 425whp~475whp
880cc 475whp~525whp
980cc 525whp~600whp

If so I should be great using 550's.

the rc saturated 750cc injectors are only a few bucks more then the 550's...i have never had a problem idling 750's on motors even as small as 1.6liter....these injectors also give you much headroom

if you already have the 550's then keep them. if you havent purchased a set yet then i would definately go with the 750's.

Yep, and that's underestimated IMO^^. If you're only "hoping" to hit 300whp than the 550's wil be just fine. Although, as stated above I've never had a problem idling 750's (I.E. Passed inspection w/ 750rpm Idle w/ flying colors) and they are only a few dollars more. Good luck.
