Default Ignition Retard on boosted ITR

I'm boosting 6.5psi to start with on stock block. Should I retard the timing at the distributor manually? If so how many degrees? 0.5, 0.75, 1 degree/lb of boost?

0.5 per lb/boost is the standard.
