Ignition advance + turbo
I have been thinking about how the stock ECU runs lots of timing advance in high rpms on the GSR (not as much time for the combustion event, but the fuel takes the same amount of time to burn). The tables are pretty aggressive.
Is it safe to run no progressive boost retard @ 7psi? My timing is at 14deg BTDC and I see no real signs of detonation (car acted funny once and got a bit of detonation that could be seen on the plugs, but I have not seen any since). It just seems that it is not a really good idea.
With 91 octane fuel, what does the ignition table look like for high boost (12psi+) on a GSR in high rpms for say a hondata tuned car? Is it drastically retarded?
Just curious.

Re: Ignition advance + turbo (dustin)
Here's a post about that with a hondata ignition map. It doesn't look like its retarded very much.
