Default MSD BTM.......

I have a 94 gsr with rev hard turbo, hondata, rc 440, aem fpr and fr, and JG intake manifold. My question is, will the msd btm help me in any way? Is it worth the money? Im currently running 9lbs (stock motor, will fully build it in november). Or will just a coil blaster be enough. Thanks

Default Re: MSD BTM....... (brryder)

BTM helps retard ignition timing under boost instead of just manually setting ignition timing and leaving it like that all the time. this is useful because u can be running the most advancement while avoiding detonation while in vacuum or low boost meaning it will be more fuel efficient for everyday driving. as u enter boost the BTM will retard timing.

has your hondata been tuned yet? i'm no hondata expert and i don't even have one (yet) but i'm pretty sure a hondata tuner can set ignition retard per psi of boost for you, so you probably won't even need the BTM.
