Default Ideas To Check For Tuning Problem. Urgent Help Required.

Run down on the car:
90 Integra GS
Converted to OBD1
P28 ECU chipped and running hondata s200 with boost option, etc
LS/Vtec (B18 bottom, B16 head)
11.5:1 compression (yes yes i know the debate about high comp w/boost)
Forged rods
Type R Cams
T3 Super 60 Garrett turbo
2.5inch downpipe/exhaust piping
Tial 38mm Wastegate
460cc injectors
B16 SIR Trans
yadda yadda if more info required let me know what you need.

Have taken the car to a local dyno many times to get it tuned up. Currently we are going to go back tomorrow to work on it again. Here is the situation. The wastegate has a 3psi spring it in and when we ease into the throttle and bring the car into boost everything works just fine. Turbo spools, car goes nicely. A/F looks good etc.

The problem is that no matter what map we load up or changes we make if we attempt to boost with WOT (wide open throttle) the system begins to lean out around 3000rpm. We've tried various maps, even tried chrome, but still the same result occurs. Feathering the throttle and going into boost gradually there is no problem but WOT it leans out (and fast I might add).

Anyone have any ideas to check or try?

Thanks in advance.
-Rik

I had a car do the same thing, the TPS was working backwards. It was reading 100% closed and 0% at full throttle.

Thank you for the reply. did a check on the TPS after the last dyno time and it was reading incorrectly (I'm afraid I'm not too techy on the right term for it). Had my boys correct it since then.

Going to dyno tomorrow. Maybe that solved it? How did you fix your TPS?

More imput folks?

might sound obvious but make sure you have a resistor box if your injectors are low impedience

Even though you didn't say what power/tq level you were at, or fuel pressure, but the first thing I would do in this case is have a trained monkey watch the fuel pressure gauge and make sure its not dropping significantly, as you didn't say what fuel pump you had..
