Default Boost Problem .. please help

hey guys i have a 94 integra b18b and just recently put a 57 trim turbo. i made a mistake and bought a obx wastegate .. ( piece of **** ) and now i have a 38mm tial wastegate with a 7.25 psi spring. i got partially tuned and the tuner said he put a restriction on my car so i cant boost past 10 psi ( only cause the obx went to **** ) haha .. so today i put the tial on and expect to go wide open throttle but my car keeps cutting me off as if im hitting 10 pounds when i should only go to 7.25 .. any help would be awesome just cant figure out the problem ??

You don't mention what EMS you're running, any data logs, at what boost does the car cut out (can you see this on a boost gauge), you running stock or after market MAP sensor, etc. We need more details before we could answer your question.

Also why is it partually tuned and not fully, did it run normal after the tune!!!!!!

well i notice on the boost gauge that it starts to cut out around like 7 1/2 to like 8 and some change .. im using a motorola 2.5 bar map sensor the only reason why its partially tuned was when i had the obx wastegate on and i went to get tuned at first it was running good then the wastegate just went to **** HAHA .. but before i got tuned it ran fine ... so im thinking maybe its cause im still running rich at full throttle and maybe its like a fuel cut ???

Are your vacum lines hooked up in the right spots? If your wastegate isnt getting vacum it would keep building boost then cut out when it hits your 10psi boost cut

Tuning could be a key, first I'd inspect the wastegate and check it however if you're hitting anything near the 7.5psi then it sounds like the wastegate is fine.Even though you mention that the Tial WG is 7.5psi you didn't mention what psi the OBX WG was set to, if you increase boost and your not mapped for it then it will cut out or even worse blow the **** out. You need to get it tuned fully including WOT, go back to your tuner and get it done right.

the obx wastegate had a 8.7 psi spring .. it was a piece of **** !! lol it just kept falling apart .. but with the obx wastegate my car was cutting out alot quicker !! putting the tial on helped but still getting the cut ... i am going back to the tuner in about 10 days i just wanted to make sure that there were no problems with my car ... i hope its just the fact that im not fully tuned ... i just wanted to make sure that it wasnt something else before i go back to him
