I need some serious help!!!
Ok so here we go, I just installed my Super 60 T3 turbo because the seals went on my last turbo (just a regular 42/48 T3) which was used. So I buy a brand new super 60 with an internal wastegate, install it and now I am only seeing 3 psi. The thing is I had to clock the turbo so it was pointing downwards to connect to my intercooler piping so I obviously had to remount the wastegate actuator in two differant bolt holes. The way the actuator is mounted, has the actuator rod on a slight angle. Would this be effecting how much boost Im seein, becuase maybe its not opening all the way because of the angle its on??? Also while I had the wastegate bracket off I remember turning the actuator a few times, does this adjust the amount of boost that I would be seeing? Also when Im driving the car at WOT and the turbo spools it sounds unusually loud and then when I let off the gas it makes a sound that Ive never heard my bov make before, and actually im not even sure if its my bov thats making the sound. I have a Greddy Type S and when my last turbo was still good and everything was working fine, the sound my bov made was totally differant than the sound im getting now when letting off the gas. I have triple checks all lines, pipes, and clamps, and everything is diffenetly tight. This is just really pissin me off cause I was lookin to see the stock 7-8 psi that this turbo should be givin me and Im only getting 3 psi, and honestly it doesnt even feel like my car is boosting. I really think its somethin with the wastegate actuator because I had it mounted in one position and was only seeing like 1 psi on my boost gauge when WOT, so I took it all off and drilled a new hole on the actuator bracket to try and make it so it wasnt on such an angle, put it back on and now Im only seeing the 3 psi. Like I said the actuator is still a fairly good angle, but im not even sure if thats whats causin me to see such low boost. But then why would it go from 1 to 3 psi when I change the position of the actuator? Thats all i can think of right now, I kno its not too organized but please someone help me here!!!! Do I have a bad actuator? Do I need to change the position so the actuator rod is perfectly parallel with the ground? Why is my turbo making a loud *** wind up sound like that if I have no boost leaks? And why am I hearing this weird noise when letting off the gas? HEEEELLLLPPPP

I would say the angle of the actuator is definently your problem the extreme angle may be causing it to stay open so you would see very little boost if any, maybe try ajusting the shaft also.

youre wastegate is staying open, thats why youre not generating boost. fix it, play around until you can get the actuator to close the flapper all the way. try it and then come back if it doesnt work. there's not much else to it.
thats just it though, the flap is closed shut because the peice on the outside of the turbo where the rod connects to is completely vertical which shows that the flap is closed. so could it be opening too soon somehow???

ok guys, so i repositioned the wastegate actuator so the rod is as straight as possible, and I also adjusted the rod by making it shorter hoping it would increase the boost. all this and im still only seeing 2-3 psi max. what the hell is wrong? someone plse help me here!!!
