I don't hear my bov, sounds like the wastegate dumping when I shift
It definitely sound's like my 38mm Tial is dumping when I shift. Is this normal?I checked all the vacum hoses if they're loose. I can't visibly see any cracks in any of the vacum hose. I have the HKS SSBOV and it definitly doesn't sound they way it did. Can anyone tell me where I a leak could be?

I'm using a mechanical Blitz boost guage. Definitely reading boost.

my money is that you may have adjusted the blow off valve too stiff, if you ever adjusted it. or its sticking

I think that sound is the compressor wheel slowing down due to no pressure being released from the bov since there may be a hose leak. I took it off and moved the the black plastic ring, around the piston shaft, near the front of the valve, and then the whole valve piston. It didn't seem to be sticking. The c clip was up side down so I flipped it around, taper side up as per the instructions. I have the adjustment one turn from all the way counter clockwise. Maybe the hose is leaking. I had checked by blowing air with a blow gun on my air compressor but I can't tell if there's a leak. I'll replace the hose from the bov to the t connection on the brake boost hose tommorrow.

Well the bov is working but it doesn't have that high pitched whistle more like a woo woo woo sound. It started happening about a week ago, but for about 8 months it's been sounding the way it should. I took the whole bov apart and there was no obstruction in the fitting or valve. Everything else looked intact. I made a pressure tester for the ic piping by using a pvc pipe cap in which I drilled a hole at the end and inserted a push on tire valve, then clamped it down with a t bolt clamp to the first reinforced silicone coupler of the ic piping. I then proceded to pressurize the ic piping to about 8 psi. I didn't hear any air leaks, then to make sure I pushed the pin in the valve and released the pressure. I've changed the hose from the vacum source ( t fitting off the brake boost between the intake manifold and the one way valve). It's got me baffled. Anyone have any ideas what it could be?
