Default **Need some help with turbo spec questions**

I am planning out a turbo set up for my stock block GSR. I am now shopping for the turbo. With your guys help I had pretty much decided a T3/T04e 57 trim .63 AR unit would be just right for me. But since I am on a budget I am shopping around, on ebay and everywhere else.

So I am finding some decent deals, and I have a basic idea of what the trim/AR specs and stuff mean about the turbo....but its hard for me to imagine how different specs would actually affect the performance of the turbo in real life...does that make sense? Like I get that its smaller in comparison, but how much faster it would spool or how much less PSI/power its really capable of is hard for me to determine.

So based on a T3/T04e 57 trim .63 AR unit being my "idea" turbo, if I found a deal on a turbo with specs of:
WET FLOATING BALL BEARINGS
1/8 NPT OIL INLET
T3 / T4 FOOTPRINT
SPECS:
.57T COMPRESSOR WHEEL
" STAGE III BRAND NEW "
.48 A/R TURBINE HOUSING
COMPRESSOR HOUSING A/R .42 TO4E
TURBINE WHEEL:
EXDUCER: 1.81"
MAYOR : 2.48"
COMPRESSOR WHEEL :
EXDUCER: 1.67"
MAYOR : 2.36"

In the ad, how would that stack up to my "ideal" turbo?

?..Close enough, get it, save the $, not much difference ..?
or
?..Alot smaller, too limiting, will leave you dissapointed if the T3/T04e 57 trim .63 AR unit is really what you want ..?

Thanks guys, I really need some advice.

How much power are you trying to make? What compression is your motor? That turbo is substantially smaller.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Hoosier Daddy &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">That turbo is substantially smaller.</TD></TR></TABLE>

Thats what I needed to know. Stock motor, planning for ~ 7psi. But maybe more later and don't want something too limiting.

Ok, well I guess the t04b models are not so effecient.

So how about a t3/t4 super 60? Specs: 60 trim compressor housing. .63 A/R exhaust housing turbine....is this too much turbo for my stock motor GSR to run at 7-8 PSI tuned?
