I can't make up my mind...ACT HD or XT????

I can't make up my mind...ACT HD or XT????
I can't decide which pressure plate to get. I'll be getting the SS disk along with one of them. The car is a 2000 Si, which will be getting turbo'd over the summer. Probably 250+ whp.
ACT told me the HD would be enough, since it can handle up to 220 something lb/ft of torque. But I was originally planning on the XT just to be safe. But I know the pedal pressure is MUCh stiffer.
Help me decide. Will the HDSS be enough for my setup, and last me a long time. The car is mostly normal daily driving...but also some track time. Thanks guys.

i don't think you want the XT. i've had it for awhile 4+ years (i guess the originals had better build quality) and i'm sick of it. im just glad it isn't my daily driver.

haha, already changed it to clutchmaster, my Extreme plate slipped alittle at the track and never like it again. Going clutchmaster stage 5.

Get the XT. I run that with the ss disk. If you worried about chatter it mostly comes from what disc your using. The pressure plate only clamps on the disc, doesnt have too much to do with chatter. Holds real good. I tested it one day while I was trying different ways of launching my car in a nearby industrial center. Only started to slip after like the 20th consecutive lauch.
Dont be a bitch, the xt isnt hard to push in at all. I almost forget what stock low pressure clutch pedals feel like. Last week I drove my brothers rsx-s and almost put my foot through the floorboards! I then proceded to tell him to upgrade that weakass clutch and get something that would help you feel the motor more.

if you're only going for 250 hp its really not necessary. the heavier the pressure plate the more likely that in time you'll get crank walk. my friend had an old skool turbo clutch with an organic disc and it held 350 whp.

Yea im running the hd pp with 6 puck, it holds great. Soft pedal but hard to engage smooth. I guess it's a tradeoff. People say the clutchnet pp is actually softer than stock, i might try that if i get another clutch.

its up to you dude
HD - going to be light.
XT - heavier but not a pain.
SS - stock engagement.
R4 - engages fast, not suppose to slip but can.
R6 - stay away chatters alot.
If you can't decide, go buy a clutchnet clutch 6puck sprung disc.
300 bucks shipped. http://www.importparts.com

Well I personally run the XT+SS, it's stiff but after a little while, you tend to forget it. It's only in heavy bumper to bumper traffic that I encounter here on the Palmetto sometimes that reminds me how stiff it is, but once driving, you totally forget about it. The other day I got in my friend's Civic with the stock clutch, I think I dented his floorboard when I rammed the pedal down too hard lol! Seriously though, it's incredibly stiff at first, you it softens in time and you WILL get used to it
