How much power/boost can a b18c1 hold with out sleeves or deck plate etc?
Wanna factor in tune as this ultimately determines the limit.
Not new to turbo just to turbo hondas.
I know i can probly get 8-12 psi out of it. But what is the safety limit?
I am talking about a stock cam, head, block etc only mods will be for tuning, fuel, fpr, pump, wideband, gauges, turbo, ic injectors etc.
I wanna use the stock head gasket and bolts, however i can change them but id rather blow head gaskets then crack sleeves.
Also is head lift a problem?
I tried search but it kept coming up as keywords that could not be searched as they were to frequently use IE: as, gsr, boost, much, hp, etc

Re: How much power/boost can a b18c1 hold with out sleeves or deck plate etc? A couple of turbo ques
I had a friend that had a Rev Hard Turbo kit on a GSR 4dr boosting at 16psi and was able to run it every weekend at the track running around 11.80s to 12.20s depending on the track condition.
The motor is completely stock.
440 injectors
wolboro fuel pump
s200 ECM
MSD 6al ignition
M&H 23x8x13 on Lenso wheels
When he turn up the boost 18psi and made two pastes on the track it twist the sleeves and blew a head gasket.

your defenatly new to honda's!!!
he stating that he is running M&H 23 inch slicks and some gsr come standard with lsd. lsd is not needed to run 10-11's.
high 11's or low 12's is not uncommon for a stock b-series on slicks
read this thread on how much stock honda sleeves, pistons, rods, etc. can take.
heads on these setups are obviously built but this only shows how much honda blocks can take

welcome to honda's
p.s. use arp studs to prevent headlifting
