Well, I am about a week away from completing my turbo setup ... sans intercooler. Running low on funds, and I want a Spearco, but I might end up going with a Starion IC to save cash.

Thing is this ... since I will have everything, I think I might put it all on, and just put a straight pipe where the IC will go until I decide (and can afford) what to do on that. I'll have a T3/4 and a Tial running the small spring (4 something PSI?). I assume that should be safe without an IC? What do you guys think? Can I crank it up any or is it too dangerous?

 

it should be fine for around 4-5psi. If you want i have a mx-6/probe intercooler in the garage. ill sell it cheap

 

Is it one of the tiny ones? I like the wiiide ones It's all about girth you know!

 

its front mount pretty decent size. I boost on it for while back in the day. it held good for around 12-15psi not bad in my opinion.

 

actually I am looking for a starion myself, I am gonna go hunting at a junkyard in grand prairie....

Hey that's cool man. Last time I went over to Kennedale but those guys had a bunch of junk. If you can get them for a good price let me know for sure. Like I said, I like the Spearco, but the Starion is plenty big and nice looking too if they're not all bashed up.

yeah, I called one of them today in GP, and he said that there were 2 or 3 starion on their lot...
but I kinda like to check it out before I tell them yes over the phone..

I was planning on going this thursday or maybe saturday..
