Default how far down to drill!?

i have a d series im in the midst of turbo'ing and i was wondering how far down on the side of the oil pan i should drill the hole for my oil return . . because i dont want any interference with my crank if i drill too high. . . if you guys have an approx that would be good. . thanks!

rememeber this, even if you drill low, drill towards the area of the pump pick up. oil will keep being "pulled" from this area with the motor running.

greddys oil return line takes the place of the oil drain plug, so it HAS to be able to drain from this area

most of them use the a standard elbow flange that you drill into the pan between the bolts, and you want the return to be as high as possible...
