Hondata Tunes Library now available
Hondata has just released a library of close to 30 tunes available to any Hondata dealer or stage 4 user. This library can be viewed at http://www.hondata.com/tunerlibrary.html
If you are a stage 4 user and have not been notified of this by email, then contact doug@hondata.com with your serial number and name to be given access.
This library of tunes has taken thousands of dollars of dyno time to compile. We would like to extend our thanks to those who contributed to this pool of tunes that can be shared with amongst other Honda tuners and users.
We expect this library to grow and evolve, as the tunes become better and as we finish the few engine tunes which we do not have.
If you are thinking of an engine management system, remember two things.
1) Full throttle dyno work usually tunes only 1/6th of the maps. Wide band lambda tuning on the street is essential for part throttle economy and smoothness. Look for a tech article on this in the weeks to come.
2) A good percentage of the cost of an engine management system is the dyno time to tune. Those Hondata dealers, who have had experience tuning a number of engine managment systems report that the Hondata system takes 1/2 to 1/4 the time to tune - and they run better.
This library will make it even faster and considerably cheaper - in many cases by several hundred dollars worth of dyno time, to tune your Honda.

Yeah, that is cool.
So if I wanted to contribute, to lets say the LS turbo (which is needed), what can I do if I have the 3B and not 4.
Do I have my dyno tuner email the ROM to you guys, or can I save it to disc and send it to ya's?

Re: Hondata Tunes Library now available (int3gra)
great idea, doug!
one problem... there is nothing for a DRAG3 LS turbo. if you had that as part of the library, im sure alot of H-T members in my situation would find it a whole lot easier to use Hondata.
as a matter of fact, if you had one that would work with my DRAG3 LS setup.. i would order it the minute you told me. send me an instant message if you eventually come up with one.

had wth Acurracy Automotive here in Va has tuned an LS in a Civic Coupe, had to start from scratch since there were no base programs. Custom turbo kit though and it would get you started instead of from scratch. It was a Stage 2b the car stock engine made 290whp and 250 ft-lb torque with 17psi, kit is Turbo Performance Turbo manifold, 87-92 Supra Turbo C-26 turbo with HKS wategate, Turbo performance I/c, custome I/C piping and Tial WG. It's been awhile but that's what i can remember. contact Shad (757)410-1656 this is his direct contact may have to leave a message. Dyno time was actually pretty short sonsidering he started with nothing. Tell him Terry sent you. He tuned my Si to 369whp and 273 lb-ft torque. I am impressed with Hondata and this library should help many people out there.
