I couldn't find that info in hondata site about the new release version 2.

 

Has it finally caught up to the features of the Moates Demon? zing!

 

The real question is it worth the upgrade over the S300 Ver.1 for those who already have it. Clearly if buying a new s300 its a ovious get the better version. Better reliablity? Version 1 seems plenty reliable ive never had a issue, nor has anyone i know either

This been out for a while now.

 

The only thing that seems like a real selling point to me is the security. I love the idea of a thief being psyched to have my s300 if the car ever got stolen and then being screwed... of course it prob. would not stop them from selling it and screwing whoever ended up buying it.

The extra inputs would be awesome if they weren't datalog only... I mean it's certainly better than nothing but I'd like to see at least some logic to be applied to their data.

I love hondata, they're great, I can't believe they even bothered to update such an old product for our cars. BIG THUMB UP!

Im guessing this version 2 was released in part to combat the counterfeit version 1 s300 units that are floating around....

Improving the S300 wow hard to do. I love my S100.

 

Its only a matter of time till they copy these. I helped someone the other day decifer a fake so he didnt get beat and there getting much better at copying the old ones. only one or two things now that arent correct and you really need to study the boards carefully.

 

What doesnt make sense to me is all that effort to copy something could be spent just making your own version of it by changing around a few things and just sell it as your own for say half the price and completely corner the market that way....

 

1 word = Software.

 

They dont have the skills to write the software and make it work correctly with hardware, just copy a board and solder pieces to it doesnt cut it lol
