Default Hondata Base Map?

Can anyone tell me how they remember their car runing with the hondata base map? The reason why I ask is because I'm putting in my hondata right now. But I want to make sure I will be able to drive the car and boost it a little before I tune it. I won't be able to tune the car til Friday.

Don't risk boosting it until it's tuned. Just go easy on it til it's properly dialed in.

Dont risk it. My basemap was lean in some spots and rich in others. To boost would just be like playing russian roulette with your motor. Get it tuned.

In theory, basemaps reduce the time it takes to tune a car, and allow one to be able to drive a car easily to the tuner, rather than having to have it towed.

yea i figured that but i always see people posting that they are going to use a base map to drive a car to the shop to get it tuned and as soon as i see that here come the people with the - - telling them they are stupid and they will blow their motor.. i was just confused as to the function of a base map to what it was really used for thats all. thanx

Any tuner can burn you a driveable base map. Base map is for getting your car running and drive to a tuning shop. There are lots of reasons why you can't drive on them. For examples: give the wrong info. to the tuner for burning the chip, wrong hook up on ecu, something wrong with ecu, etc..

Well I finished and put everything in the car and guess what the car barely runs. SO I guess I will just have to get it to a shop asap. But for now I just put back the factory ecu and greddy blue box but I left the 450DSM's in the car. Well I have to put the 310cc back in. Does anyone know if I have to take the resistor box out?

Your misunderstanding. Everyone says feel free to drive as long/far as you want on your basemap. Just DON'T BOOST. It's a very simple concept.

Hondata doesnt like the DSM injectors

http://hondata.com/bb/viewtopic.php?t=432

I have had several people PM or email me about base maps and all have described the same kind of problem with the DSMs.

DSM 450cc injectors will not work with the Honda ECU - the electrical characteristics of the injector are not suited to the ECU, resistor box or no resistor box.

If you use DSM 450cc injectors you will find the engine difficult to start, and the engine running lean at part thottle, plus tuning is very difficult.

Iff i cannot boost the car with a base map how should i meillage my engine,if you have a complete new buildet engine, you must drive it a few miles befor you get it to the dyno, you canīt milage a new engine only with 2000rpm you must push it slowly to the high revsor it can blows on the dyno if the engine never saw high revs and than on the dyno you will pushit to 9000rpm.
