Default Hondata Base maps Please Help!

I am planning on purchasing a Hondata fuel management with boost from wiredspeedlab.com with their preset base maps. I am only going to run 7psi with stock internals with a Drag Gen 3 turbo kit. Will wiredspeedlab.com's pre programmed base maps be enough for safe reliable street use, or will I need professional tuning right away?

I boosted some on my base map.....

...I would plan on getting it tuned sooner rather then later though.

I boosted for about 3 months on a base map. It sucked. I got horrible results and bad gas mileage. I gained 40 whp by having it tuned. I would get it tuned. The base map should make the tunning faster and easier though.

Just remember base maps are just that a base. It will get you to a tuner or dyno...which is what they are designed to do.

I got my hondata from importparts...along with 880's and 255lph pump...will it have a base map in it that will get me to the shop at which it will be tuned (about 50 miles away)? Or will I have to use the hack and swap everything out when I get there?

Might want to ask Ben on that one. I'm not sure if he made a base tune for you on those injectors...

I'll have to do that I guess...it isn't the norm for them to put a base map in it?

don't rush thins like this, or it could end up costing a whole lot more in very short run.. wait until you get it properly tuned..

If they are tuners and not just resellers then yes most will configure some sort of basemap based on your setup.

Ben is a good guy, I'm sure a simple PM to him will anwser your questions about the map.
