Hit the 1/8 for the first time. UPDATE: VIDEO UP!!!
lets start with my setup:
92' hatch
LSVTEC (GSR head)
t3/t4 50-63
Rubber is Falken Azenis rt-615
size:195-60-14 brand new (only got 50miles on them before the race)
dyno 280hp & 195tq @ 10.5psi
I was running 8psi off the wastegate last night and not the 10.5 i dyno at. I did not launch. i feathered the throttle off the line and never put it to the floor. My first run was horrible. i spun the whole way down the 1/8 and i had to let off toward the end just to save myself. My second run was better. Spun off the line, threw 2ed and 3rd then finally catching right befor i went to 4th ended the 1/8 in 4th gear. Heres my 2ed dial time
60' : 2.309
330: 6.198
1/8 : 9.128
MPH: 87.12

Help me out fellow boosters, what do i need other then straight SLICKS. I want to run this Saturday for fun at Fontana but not trying to embarrass myself and the turbo Honda world.

LSD + staged boost + slicks or drag radials should get you launching a little better. Even a low boost/high boost switch would do you some good. Suspension also plays a huge role.
You should be able to load the video up on youtube or filebucket or something.

damn homie, i ran a 9.1 with a bone stock gsr, stock headers and 3in crush bent exhaust in a eg hatch....
you must be spinning A LOT
drag radials will help out quite a bit, but slicks would be even better

The 87mph trap speed kinda tells you that. That is a low 8 second trap speed on slicks.

tell me about it. After my very first run i felt like an idiot out there running a high 9sec on 1/8mile with LSVTEC on 8psi. but yeah SPIN is the word of the night. Like i said i had to let off my first run cause i spun from the line, all the way down the track, and till i let off. WISH ME LUCK IN FONTANA. hopefully i'll get a decent 1/4mile time. I look forward to actually launching and not leaving the line at 1500rpm.
