Default My first RUN= )

I was at Etown today and I ran my car the very first time.
I was so nervous, my heart felt like it was gonna explode. As i got near the starting line i was feeling a little calmer. Then I got up to the line, got set then watched the tree as it dwindled down to green and gunned it.
I floored it as soon as it hit the third yellow and i was gone.
My first 3 gears were pretty decent and I screwed up on my 4th.
well I ran a
1ST 14.973@96.20MPH RT.531, 60ft 2.480
2nd 14.388@100.18 MPH RT.568, 60ft 2.279
3rd 14.714@97.30 MPH RT.525, 60ft 2.394
Running 9lBS and tire presure was at 32 first run, 2nd and 3rd at 30

I screwed up on 4th Gear on the 1st and 3rd run.

Any Tips on how i can bring my time lower?
Street tires.

Practice practice, practice.

I ran a 15.3 with my b16a2 swap....it was probably my 10th run with that motor. Next time I went out I couldn't break 15.6 though!!!

shift faster and hold the wheel straight as possible

between run 1 and 2, theres a big mph difference
control the shifts better, your losing mph

torque steer

oh yea, you got crazy good reaction times.

damn dude that eun 1 should be way better... for street tires a 2.2 is not a bad 60ft at all.. with a 2.2 you should have near a 9.1 1/8mile i would think.. and more like a 13.8 in the 1/4 at at least 104 if u r running 9psi.. hummmmmmmmmm maybe im wrong, but im just judging by what ive seen and read from other turbo LS's.. maybe it has to do with elavation or sumthin

No offense, but something seems wrong if you are only hitting a 14.3 at that high of boost. I'm running the Rev Hard kit too on my LS and my first time at the track I ran a 14.0 @101.8 with a 2.4 60', running on my 17's and boosting 6lbs.

17" rims makes 1/4 times suck.. put on your stock rims and lower your tire pressure some. Just switching to the 15's should knock off close to half a sec.

-25-28 psi in the front tires, stock pressure in the back
-if you have adjustable shocks, set em soft in front, stiff out back
-shift at 7k like someone said before
-practice launches and shifting not at the track
-find a way to calm down...turn your radio on or something, there is no reason to be nervous, you aren't racing for $$ or anything, just think of it as practice, cause that's what it is...

finally, if you really need some help, id be glad to run your car at e-town and break off a 13 sec timeslip for ya...
