What was the compression on this motor, and what was done to ensure there was no detonation? Got a dyno sheet?

CR is about 9.5 : 1 84mm roller wave pistons gsr motor.

Running a Apex-i Power Fc standalone ecu, with knock sensor reading verry low still.

Not sure on power, but I'd estemate around 400-450whp.

2.0 GSR/ITR 9:1 CR with GT30R at 20psi. 121mph traps. 94 Octane. No signs of detonation on the plugs.. just fuel...

i just dont' see someone with 9.5:1 compression making 575whp on 93 octane... i'm still a believer that past 400whp is skirting the issue, 500 to me seems extreme and dangerous especially since it seems my local gas changes it dynamics every week with the gas prices spiking....

maybe i'm just conservative

bullshit.. they have 111 and 108 octane AT THE PUMP that you pump directly into your car here in holts summit, mo.

there are two 109.5 octane pumps local for turbo blue, but they are in bum expletive middle of no where. regardless, if you have to drive 30 miles for special "pump gas' isn't it easier to just buy a drum more local and dump it in the car rather than wasting it on the way home?

I really don't know why more turbo hondas arent utilizing water/meth injection. I know at our shop they have already been quite a few dsm's/srt-4's using it with great success. Most of the cars I've seen are making 25psi + on pump gas with it! We had a galant vr-4 make 28psi on pump gas and go 10.8........but just like andrea and jeff said you cant get even distribution to each cylinder.......yet. Before too long I think we'll see a good kit, the demand is definitely there.
Well to contribute to the actual post my ls did 373whp on pump gas(18psi) with only 11.8 degrees of advance. Tim Switzer was being very careful.

congrats...you just called bullshit to a name i posted under 3 years ago. but, the truth is still there, at least in NC. anything over 100octane is leaded....leaded gas is not legal to run on the street. they have pumps that sell 110 around here now, but, TECHNICALLY...it's not legal...

A little water goes a long way I wouldnt call it 100% pump gas power, but my current setup puts down close to 600WHP (568 on 25PSI) running 9:5:1 compression all on pump gas, which is 93 down here in FL. I built the car to test the limits of pump gas, kinda. I dont like the price of gas as it is, and cant see spending +$5 a gallon to drive a car around town every day. There is more power to be made on the setup(650+with more dyno time) but I have no doubt in my mind that with the right mixture (Alch/Water) pump gas can be a NON limiting factor, BTW these numbers were not reached with low timing numbers and rich A/F just some good old fashon EFI know how and Methonal/Alchohol Injection. These numbers were seen with a 50/50 mix of Water and Alchohol

On 100% pump gas, and no methanol/water injection, I made 490whp on my LS @ 19psi. The pump gas was 4 months old, too.
