Default high idle, run hot, just started new turbo..

ok, i bought a used greddy turbo kit for my d16z6 in my rex. well, i had no choice but to run the shitty black box for the next month. but when wiring the black box one of the wires one the water temp sensor gets cut off, the side that goes into the plug hooks up to the box. the other side doesn't get hooked up to anything (the ecu side) well cold (40 degrees out) it idled at 2500rpm. i went and drove around the block for a test drive and it continued to idle funky(just high). the temp gauge was exactly half way (normally about 3/8 way up) my radiator is leaking a little, so i know that might have something to do with the temp, also i am not runing an IC until after x-mas.... no cash. but the idle is my concern. right before i turned it off it was at like 1500 i think?

You should really considor waiting until you have the correct fuel managment.

Do it right the first time, and you will not have these problems.

missing link and FMU do two different things..
yes, they do, but you need one w/ the other. Unless you want a cel.

i will be doing the missing link, probably a starion ic, and maybe keep that blue vortech fmu. but i have to wait until after x-mas. running out of time and money to buy gifts..... and it is too late to take it all back off...it must be alright to run it this way for a short while if the kit was sold this way from greddy. granted i might not get as much power, it can't be bad for it. not for 3 or 4 weeks anyway..
