Default Hesitates when I begin boost

Finished my y8 manifold and gsr tb install yesterday. I didn't have the proper fuel pressure regulator so I didn't test drive it til today.

Idles fine and even works under boost if I acelerate slowly so the boost comes on at a slow pace. But if I hammer it it hesitates and stumbles.

I'm not throwing any codes from what I can see. I already had the GSR throttle body on for a week before doing the intake manifold and it worked fine.

So yeah I can't figure out what might be causeing this. The spark plug wire was poped out when I first tried but I put it back in. Still same problem. There may be a slight kink in the pcv vavle hose. I'm not sure but if there is could that cause this?

Oh well any ideas.

Thanks

no but would changing a manifold really require me to retune the computer? I haven't put on my new exhaust yet so I don't want to go get it retuned yet.

what manifold did you have before? a y7?

if so yes i would reccomend it

a new exhaust (mostly if diameter changes) requires a retune too

changing the tb will affect the tune for sure, going from a smaller to larger hole, more air, hell yeah.. Thats why it pauses before it kicks in, also check tps settings...

It doesn't seem like it is leaning out at all. I don't have a wide band only the cheapo air fuel gauge. It looks the same but I know it's not acurate.

The motor is a d16z6.

Why would I be able to go into the boost slowly though?

Hmm I'm not sure. Try checking your TPS voltages at idle and WOT.

Yeah they are good. Like I said I was running the throttle body for a week. The tps is correct. It would be nice to fix but if I can't figure it out it's not the end of the world. I just have to drive slow til it's dyno tuned.

But I checked and rechecked and I am sure everything is correct.

No vacum leaks. Would you beleive I forgot to block one off when I first started it.

I'm wondering if somehow I banged the map sensor around and broke it. I don't think so but who knows???

Didn't get to the car till today.

Seems I had to turn the vtec way up. It must have been getting just way to much air then what it was programed for.
