Help working in car right now! Kinked Oil return?!
I put my turbo kit back on last night. everything fine until I was a block away from home and I gave it a quick burst if first. When I pulled into the garage, smoke was coming out of the hood and the exhaust.
I think the oil return line was a little kinked. It was like that before, but I indexed the turbo and it might have been kinked worse. I have turbo opend up right now. with the exhaust side off. There is oil coming out of that cover thingy under the turbine. Is it blown? Is it possible that oil leaked out becasue it was kinked and it will be alright?

you are either kinked or you have too much oil pressure going to the turbo. What kind of oil are you running?

I'm running 10-30 oil
I'm also running that high heat red hose for the oil return plenty big for an oil return. But I saw it was kinked. The feed is -3an
do you guys think it was just the pressure. Everything was running perfectly when I took it out 2 months ago.

Anybody in San Diego know where to rebuild a turbo?
Put everything back in. It started smoking after going around the block twice.
I put the stock manifold and down pipe in. I left everything else in. I put a air filter before the intercooler N/A intercooled. I left the Turboedit chip in the ecu with the 450 cc injectors. Will I be fine running like that for a while.

you cna get a center section for any t3 on ebay for $100, all you have to do is remove the compressor nut and slide the shaft out. Then take some 400+ grit sand paper and get rid of any crap on the shaft (don't go nuts on it). Clean the shaft with alcohol or brake cleaner or TB cleaner, you get the point. Slap it back together and you have a "rebuilt" turbo.

Yeah I heard last night you can get he center section $100 on ebay. I also heard I can the change the seals pretty quickly and cheap for the turbo I got. I may try the seals first.
I didn't try your suggestion for a thicker weighted oil.
