I wrecked my civic w/ turbo LS. I took the turbo and wanting to put it on another engine. With my old setup..it was a stock b18b1 with a t3/t4 turbo .60A/R ..puttin 215 to the wheels with 8psi . I want something way better than that. I have a b18 block with 2.0 sleeves. I was planning on Ls/vtec turbo before i had a wreck. Same thing with ever setup. I was wondering should I go with straight b18b1 just build it like crazy..sleeving..pistons..rods..headwork...turbo cams? Should I find a gsr and stick that turbo on? Or should I go Ls/vtec. Im looking at keeping it at a good price range...my goal is to have at least 300 to 350 to the wheels or a 12 sec car. What will be the best thing to do??????

 

if your funds allow you to "just build it like crazy"..why not? if you already have a big bore LS block, you might as well use that as a foundation for your next motor. with some decent compression pistons(10:1), rods, etc....and a vtec head with lets say...some upgraded valvetrain and the cams of your choice, you should be ready to rock.

 

Ls/vtec turbo is reliable? I read a couple of places it will break down a lot.
