the top port goes to the boost control solenoid, and the botom one goes to a vacum source after throttle plate.

ok thanks.. i looked over the manual and it looks like it might be correct..

it is hooked like this..

top of wastgate to the boost solenoid then from the other side of the solenoid it goes to a 3 way T and goes to the bottom of the wastgate and to the turbo housing..

do i need to have both the top and bottom ports hooked up?? if i dont need both the top and bottom hooked to this solenoid, where does the other port go to? thanks

no you need bolth with an EBC you have it right the way you said. you might want to move the line from the turbo port to your intake manifold though.

btw, im getting a vacuum manifold this week and hope to clean up the engine bay a little more and have the vacuum lines cleaned up.. if anyone has pics or diagrams of vacuum manifolds installed, please let me see them. thanks

Does that Greddy unit use a solenoid or a stepping motor?

the greddy is a solenoid and you can block off the turbo with a vacum plug, or you can unscrew the fitting and buy a plug for that.

The most accurate boost reading is through the manifold since you lose boost through the intercooler and piping. Putting it on the turbo will cause the wastegate to open up too early.

heres my vac manifold set up . you can see the big line coming off the intake manifold going to the vac block and then all the port from there. the one port goes back to the brake booster. basically the unit goes inline with the brake booster line

ok thanks itr206.. so its basically like a distribution block for an amp.. 1 big wire in, lots of little smaller ones out.. and i feed any item that needs a vacuum signal from that distribution block, for example wastegate, bov, boost guage, boost controller...

make sure that solenoid doesn't vibrate or anything.. it seems to be very fragile

I don't what caused mine break but here it is. hopefully yours won't do the same
