HELP! Picking out cams for a boosted set up!
My motor setup is:
Head: b16 head, very stiff valve springs, deffenetly aftermarket springs but not sure exactly what kind, stock resurfaced valves, valves are nitrate coated, and its got titanium retainers... Also im using a skunk 2 ITR manifold, 880cc PTE injectors, B&m FPR, and an AEM fuel rail.
Bottom: gsr block, JE pistons, eagle rods (9:1 comp ratio), ACL racing bearings, stock bore, ARP head studs, block was built for boost...
I made 389whp at 319foot lbs of torque last year with a stock head and cams at 18lbs of boost (turbo is comparable to a GT30R). Now i have the head written above ^^ and i want to get a pair of nice cams to allow for more airflow so that i can make more power in the long run, oh and also i have Tru time AEM adjustable cam gears as well...
Ok so my goal is this year with the new setup is to make at least 450-470whp but i need some advice on which cams i should go with and maby even where to set my rev limiter with the new cams. Thanks guys!

With that power goal, it is easily attainable with ITR or CTR cams, a tried & true alternative to aftermarket cams for a goal of that range, and will make a considerable gain over the B16 bumpsticks.
And if your turbo is in fact comparable to a GT30R (depending on dimensions), you should be set in your quest for 450-470. Your rev limit will depend on you and what the purpose of the car will be. Also state the dimensions of your turbo.

Anything more than ITR cams would be pointless and money poorly spent right now. ITR is good WELL past your power goals.

My thoughts exactly. You could also look into the Blox B's which are very similar to the ITRs...because sometimes its hard to find a set of ITR cams on a moment's notice

Re: HELP! Picking out cams for a boosted set up!
ok, well i do have an gsr intake and a ITR exaust maby ill just use that, its prolly gunna be really hard to find just one itr exaust cam...See teh reason i wanted a cam made for boost was becouse i wanted to spool my turbo faster as well, would a cam larger tahn an itr do that better??
Also yes the turbo is very compairable, im not sure of the exact dimentions i always forget but when i got it dynoed last spring its boost curve was almost dead on to a 30R with the same setup if that helps you any...
I would think my block could take the 70hp gain with out an issue? It is in very good shape still, compression is right on.
